Sexual abuse is any sexual activity that occurs without consent. Also referred to as sexual assault or sexual violence, it includes unwanted sexual touching, forced oral sex, and rape, among other sexual acts. No matter which action occurs, it's not the survivor's fault that they were assaulted—and help is available to begin healing from such abuse. Sexual violence is a pervasive problem. The abuse can lead to shock, fear, sadness, and in some cases, anxiety or depressive disorder. But therapy, coping skills, and social support can relieve the burden and help survivors heal. The most important is to take the first step in seeking help. Anyone in New Zealand can get help. It doesn't matter when it happened or if you reported it to the Police or anyone else. ACC Sensitive Claims Counselling is 100% covered by ACC and is free of charge for my clients. If you have been sexually abused and want to take the next step to recovery and healing, don't hesitate to contact me by email – firstname.lastname@example.org. If this is an emergency, or you need immediate help, call 111.
With cancellations, there is no charge with three working days’ notice or longer. Less than 3 days but up to 2 days there is a charge of 50% and if one days’ notice or less is given the full fee is charged, unless under extraordinary circumstances. Thank you in advance!
