What if you don't get the birth you want? Please, don't keep it to yourself because it can have long-term consequences on your health, relationships and parenting. Every birth experience is worth being talked about, healed and honoured. As a perinatal counsellor, I work with traumatic birth experiences and strongly recommend it to women and their partners. Each couple must consider a birth debrief with a professional. Such type of effort requires an exquisitely trained depth psychotherapist who knows how to help discover and repair the true root of issues. In this specific work I: - offer space to talk from your heart about the intensity of birth; - facilitate safe guided debrief (agenda for debriefing); - provide validation of the experience (honour your feelings of disappointment and the loss of the birth you had hoped for); - help your mind to finish the work; - empower you to continue and enjoy life. Suppose for a long time (more than a month) after childbirth, you experience apathy, sadness, anger, inexplicable anxiety, and panic attacks appear. If you are disturbed by obsessive dreams about the birth experience, you fall into guilt, shame or other difficult emotions, come to me for a consultation. Sessions usually are 50 minutes in length and arranged to fit your schedule. If you are in Blenheim or Marlborough region, please, come to my office. For those living outside Marlborough, New Zealand, we can arrange a Zoom, Google Meet, FaceTime, Facebook Messenger, or What's App video chat. Cancellation Policy

With cancellations, there is no charge with three working days’ notice or longer. Less than 3 days but up to 2 days there is a charge of 50% and if one days’ notice or less is given the full fee is charged, unless under extraordinary circumstances. Thank you in advance!
